Hello everybody!
Today I will comment on the importance of education and prevention in health and specifically in my profession.
From my point of view I think that education is closely related to the prevention, so if people get a good education will be able to prevent and lessen the various factors that cause disease, thus improving their quality of life.
According to education I think you should investigate in what most affects the population to perform a focused education. For example, Chile has a high rate of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and that over time has been increasing. This is why we must take important steps in education and prevention. These measures should be aimed at people who are at risk for STDs, and more emphasis on the younger population.
This education must address topics like the use of condoms, the only sexual partner and any consequences that may bring the ETS. If eduacion is well made and directed, I am sure that these high rates of STDs would have a decrease.
Considering the prevention, I believe that our country is well done, as in clinics and hospitals are given condoms to the population and there sexuality courses where people can go for education.
It is important that as future health professionals we take into account this issue, as it is very important to educate moms on how to make proper care for their babies to avoid possible complications in the future.
