Chile 2010

Chile is a country that has important celebrations, but this year 2010 is the most important of all because it was 200 years ago as an independent country. The day September 18, 1810 meeting was held the first national government that was initiated by Mateo de Toro y Zambrano addition to other members. With this event began a long and important process which led to our independence from the Spanish governors. For this reason, this year our country is party and have organized many types of events.

Although this year is the bicentennial I think has been a year quite intense and important events. To begin we note as a great and important event as happened on 27 February where our country suffered a strong earthquake caused a tsunami that later ended with many lives, homes and more. This caused much commotion and grief for what happened. However with our great spirit of solidarity we can move forward and organize a major campaign aimed to raise funds for the victims.
Another important event occurred in the north of our country, specifically in the Copiapo region where 33 workers were trapped in the mine "San José" and were trapped about 70 days there. The rescue on the 13th of October was a success and the capsule "Phoenix" was famous in all countries of the world.
Another important area that has marked our country was that in last year's election after 20 years of Consensus building was elected president of a different political side is "National Renewal (RN)" Although the elections were fought Mr. Piñera was elected with about 51% of approval of the people, leaving out the nominee Eduardo Frei. This provoked joy in some people and upset others.

Without a doubt this year has been very intense and clearly important events that have marked the country. Despite all these important events have left many sequels especially in those affected, but also in the rest of the country. In order to eliminate those consequences should work hard, but I feel that the spirit that has people of Chile is very strong and that spirit will be the tool that we have to get out adeltante and overcome everything that happened. However, this difficult year is ending, soon came the Christmas and 2010 will go. We hope that 2011 will come as things much better.

Dreams

Hi everyone today I will talk about dreams and the concept has evolved over time.

Dreams are mental impressions, usually unintentional, images or feelings that you have while sleeping.

But what are the mechanisms that allow us to build these images? And do you have anything to do with training images from our memory?

Both are very difficult to solve mysteries, because dreams are a very complicated field of study. Can not be analyzed directly, but always through the dreamer: every minute that passes, miss more and more details of what he dreamed

Scientific studies suggest that the ability to dream is a sophisticated nervous system, almost unique ability of mammals.

But with regard to the history of dreams, these are based, to various speculations. Since ancient times, dreams have been the subject of admiration and fascination for different cultures. These cultures, mostly seen in dreams, channels of communication with the gods.

This happened with the Babylonian and Hebrew culture. Similarly, the Greeks conceived of dreams as tools to foretell the future.

But over the centuries, the interpretation of dreams, which for many are keys to know better, took a more scientific twist. This was due to the study of dreams, by psychology in the twentieth century.

The dreams of the people are and can be interpreted. As in sleep, there is so disguised, the reality of desire. So, how is that one should interpret the dream. In any case, experts say, the best person to interpret dreams is the dreamer himself.

Wondering what they mean nocturnal occurrences based on our emotions and thoughts against them can be revealed the true meaning of these dreams for ourselves.

"Myths and truths about the human brain" (Dr. Maldonado)

Hi everyone!

Today I will comment on the exposure of Dr. Maldonado about the myths and truths of the human brain. The exhibition was very interesting because Dr. Maldonado made it clear some concepts that I did not understand.

Well, to start the Dr. talked about the size and shape of the brain, showed us several pictures with the aim of differentiating size and shape among different species. These differences were very marked in both anatomy and function, he explained that the brain more like the human brain was the brain of the chimpanzee. The functions of the brain explained that there are areas or brain regions that have different specialties, such as memory, learning, feelings, etc. Another myth is the constant comparison with a computer brain, at the exhibition of Dr. Maldonado told us that this myth is false, since there are important differences between our brains and computers, leading to conclusion that our brain is much more complex than a computer and has several unique features.

Dr. Maldonado also showed a graph showing the different mental capacities of men and women such that men have much more ability in math than women.

In my opinion, I believe this issue is very complex and unwieldy. However I think it is very important to understand the functions of our brain and its development throughout life, as this will be an important factor in conducting a comprehensive care and improve our professional performance in midwifery!

Hope you're well!
Take care
